After two games on the road, Satellite is heading back home. They will take on the Atlantic Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Satellite earned a 40-33 win over the Hustlers.
Satellite relied on the efforts of Leigh Hertel, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Sydney Logsdon, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Logsdon hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyna Lora, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Atlantic beat the Titans 44-35 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Atlantic.
Atlantic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from VANESSA SPADA, who scored six points along with 34 rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that SPADA pulled down eight or more rebounds. Aurielle Reavis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Satellite's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Atlantic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Satellite have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Atlantic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Satellite couldn't quite finish off the Sharks in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 49-46. Will Satellite have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
