The Mayfair Monsoons will head out on the road to face off against the Chaminade Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mayfair's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
On Monday, everything went Mayfair's way against Bellflower as Mayfair made off with a 66-46 win.
Meanwhile, Chaminade unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by Westlake on the road and fell 79-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chaminade has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bryce Goldman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The match was Goldman's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Kamden Edwards was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mayfair's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Chaminade, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Mayfair barely slipped by Chaminade in their previous meeting back in January, winning 42-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mayfair since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
