The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds at 8:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
Last Tuesday, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket came up short against the Rustlers and fell 58-49. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in their matchups with the Rustlers: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Wolsey-Wessington entered their tilt with the Rangers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Wolsey-Wessington skirted past the Rangers 68-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tate French was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Moshe Richmond, who scored 19 points along with six assists.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was able to grind out a solid victory over the Warbirds in their previous matchup back in January, winning 43-36. Does Sanborn Central/Woonsocket have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
