After a string of four wins, the Faith Academy Flames's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-17 loss at the hands of Brazos Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Faith Academy has scored all season.
Faith Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Natalie Weems and Elleson Lehmberg. Weems scored five points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, while Lehmberg scored no points.
Faith Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Brazos Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Academy will take on Live Oak Classical at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Live Oak Classical will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Brazos Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Round Rock Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Round Rock Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
