After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ironwood, the Apollo Hawks were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 86-63 margin over Kellis. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Apollo has posted since December 18, 2023.
Apollo found their leader in underclassman Elijah White, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Acevedo, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Apollo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Kellis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
Apollo will be playing in front of their home fans against Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Kellis, they will head out on the road to square off against Willow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Willow Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 matches -- so hopefully Kellis likes a good challenge.
