After soaring to a 32-point victory in their last game, Henry County came back down to earth on January 8th. They fell just short of McKenzie by a score of 59-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on January 5th (56), Henry County still had to take the loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Calloway County gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 70-28 win over Christian Fellowship at home. That looming 70-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Calloway County yet this season.
Calloway County found their leader in underclassman Jaidan Koch, who scored 16 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Perkins, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Henry County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Calloway County, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Everything came up roses for Henry County against Calloway County in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 57-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Henry County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
