Hoquiam were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the contest and then some with a 48-12 victory on Friday over Tenino. Followers of Hoquiam probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Hoquiam's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Tenino couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. Hoquiam put the game away in the third quarter with 27 points from the offense and six points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. Tenino are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Next week Hoquiam take on Elma at 7:00 PM. Tenino will be staying on the road, facing off against Forks. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
