The Cortez Colts posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Apache Junction at home to the tune of 62-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cortez also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Ulysses Espinoza was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ramirez, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Cortez has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Apache Junction, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-14.
