Cooperstown is 8-2 against Sherburne-Earlville since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Cooperstown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They really took it to Unatego for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-55 win at home. That 82-55 margin sets a new team best for Cooperstown this season.
Charlie Lambert was his usual excellent self, scoring 38 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cooperstown's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Coleman, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Sherburne-Earlville's ten-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on December 5th. They snuck past Richfield Springs Central with a 56-52 victory. The victory was just what Sherburne-Earlville needed coming off of a 79-49 loss in their prior contest.
Cooperstown now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sherburne-Earlville, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.
Cooperstown was able to grind out a solid victory over Sherburne-Earlville in their previous meeting back in January, winning 70-59. Does Cooperstown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sherburne-Earlville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
