The Bunkie Panthers will face off against the Oak Hill Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bunkie is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, Bunkie made easy work of St. Joseph's - Plaucheville and carried off a 19-2 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.
Rylee Townsend was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Back at the plate, Bunkie got a massive performance out of Brianna LaBorde, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Andi Bettevy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Bunkie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Oak Hill's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grant on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Oak Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madee Danzy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Bunkie's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Bunkie took their win against Oak Hill in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 12-6 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
