The Susquehanna Valley Sabers fell victim to the Waverly Wolverines''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Wolverines, falling 55-0. Susquehanna Valley has struggled against Waverly recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Joey Tomasso, who threw for 375 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Xavier Watson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Susquehanna Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Waverly, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Susquehanna Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Waverly will head out on the road to face off against Chenango Forks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chenango Forks is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
