Bayard Rustin is 1-6 against Downingtown West since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Golden Knights will be playing at home against the Whippets  at 3:45  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bayard Rustin comes in on four and Downingtown West on three.
Bayard Rustin will bounce into Wednesday's   match after  beating Coatesville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Golden Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  win over the Red Raiders  on Monday.

 Ashley Falcone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Jenna Kraft was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one  home run.  Liv Shuffler was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Downingtown West never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Sun Valley 10-0. The Whippets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine  runs or more this season.
 Addison Carter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Carter was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Casey McWilliams was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ava Riccardo, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
 Bayard Rustin's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Downingtown West, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Wednesday. Bayard Rustin hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.6  home runs per game. However, it's not like Downingtown West struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.8  home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
 Bayard Rustin might still be hurting after the  6-0 loss they got from Downingtown West  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024.
