Goleman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Mata, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Mata brought in this season.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Goleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Goleman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hialeah-Miami Lakes hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Goleman, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Hialeah-Miami Lakes' hitters?
