Ray extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 7-6. They walked away with an 18-13 win over the San Tan Foothills Sabercats. 18 seems to be a good number for the Bearcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Adem Nunez and Rj Nunez made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Nunez tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Rj tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Adem also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ray is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. At bat, Nunez got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, while Rj got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. What's more, Adem posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Ty Chesnut was incredible, going 3-for-4 with seven RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Cude, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Ray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 8.8.
As for San Tan Foothills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games.
On San Tan Foothills' side, Eli Knox was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Juan Barazza also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Ray will challenge Superior at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for San Tan Foothills, they will take on Gilbert Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
