The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victory Christian Academy in their matchups with Calumet Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calumet Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makenna Landkrohn, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Landkrohn has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Calla Ogden, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Victory Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Calumet Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9.
Victory Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Illiana Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calumet Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Central at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
