Even though the Charles Henderson Trojans scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Park Crossing Thunderbirds still came out on top. Park Crossing walked away with a 66-59 win over Charles Henderson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Park Crossing.
Park Crossing had a senior duo take command as Caden Anderson-teal dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds and Jayden Scott scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Scott has scored at least 25% of Park Crossing's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Simms, who scored 11 points.
Park Crossing's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Charles Henderson, the last time they won on the road was back back in November. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Crossing will face off against Carver Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charles Henderson, they will head out on the road to face off against Barbour County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barbour County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Charles Henderson is ranked 170th).
