The Freedom Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Highland Springs by a score of 42-34 on Saturday. Freedom's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freedom to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeff Overton, who rushed for 150 yards on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Evans-Trujillo, who threw for 100 yards while completing 75% of his passes.
Freedom pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.25 points. As for Highland Springs, their loss ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.
Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Highland Springs also has no future games currently scheduled.
