After flying high against Alliance on Thursday, Central came back down to earth. The Central Indians might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Kearney Bearcats an easy 58-38 victory. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leading Kearney to victory were Ben Johnson and Jacob Webber. Johnson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Webber went 9 of 18 on his way to 26 points. The match was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leyton Paider, who posted six points.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Kearney, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-37 defeat against St. Thomas More on the 21st. As for Kearney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-67 loss against Scottsbluff on the 21st.
