On Tuesday, Grasso Tech beat Vinal RVT 64-53. The victory was just what Grasso Tech needed coming off of a 81-55 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Cheney RVT can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Norwich RVT 84-48 at home. Given Cheney RVT's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Norwich RVT is ranked 168th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dam'nic Gittens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 41 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 25 or more in the last four games he's played. Ayden Brookins was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Grasso Tech's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Cheney RVT, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
