Deer Valley won the last time they faced Westview and things went their way  on Thursday too. Deer Valley blew past Westview 16-0. The Skyhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Adyson Ordway made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3. What's more,  she posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in February of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Taylor Passalacqua was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Leila Hermosillo, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Deer Valley  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most four  strikeouts in three consecutive  contests.
Deer Valley pushed their record up to 13-3-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Westview, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deer Valley will host Thunderbird  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Westview, they will welcome Agua Fria  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday.
