The SkyView Academy Hawks won the last time they faced the Arrupe Jesuit Generals, and things went their way on Tuesday too. SkyView Academy breezed by Arrupe Jesuit on the road to the tune of 63-29.
SkyView Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Markus Lloyd, who scored 19 points. The match was Lloyd's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Dove, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Arrupe Jesuit's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Martinez, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
SkyView Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they bumped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. SkyView Academy will take on Woodland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Denver West at 7:30 p.m. Denver West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Arrupe Jesuit in Colorado (Denver West is ranked 43rd, while Arrupe Jesuit is ranked 254th).
