After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Auburn Adventist, the Northwest Christian Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 66-29 victory over Rainier Christian at home. For Northwest Christian, this counts as revenge for the 64-56 loss Rainier Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2015.
Northwest Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dan Babber, who scored 19 points along with six assists. The match was Babber's third in a row with at least ten points. Kaden Lanham was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rainier Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Sound Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Sound Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Rainier Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northwest Yeshiva at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
