 Carson  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Banning struck out six times.
As for Banning, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record  this season. Those  defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games.
 On Banning's side,  Sharon Su'e and  Kourtney Talanoa stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Su'e  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  triple, while  Talanoa  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Carson will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Rancho Dominguez  at 3:15  p.m. The Lobos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.63  runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Banning, they will take on South in a tournament  on Friday.
