Hilo extended the longest winning streak in Big Island I this week by beating Kealakehe, 21-10. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Hilo led the league in points allowed with 10.
David Baldwin's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Donovan Kelley threw for 162 and 1 touchdown and Aven Kualii had 111 yards receiving. On the ground Kelley contributed 62 yards. Tristin Spikes helped Hilo's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 63 yards.
The Vikings' dynamic duo of Kelley and Kualii proved tough for the Waveriders to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Spikes helped Hilo's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 63 yards.
Ofa Fahiua made the biggest impact on defense this week as Hilo defeated Kealakehe. The 5-foot-10 junior nabbed 2 interceptions, forced 1 fumble, recorded 1 fumble and grabbed 1 sack.
Hilo's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sione Atuekaho has thrown for 585 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Kelley has 12 catches for 281 yards.
The Vikings also led the league in scoring this week after putting up 21 points.
