Softball Recap: Enterprise Has No Trouble Against Taylorsville

While Enterprise put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Taylorsville. Enterprise was the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over Taylorsville. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Rainee Falvey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Piper Martin was a standout: she scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Terra Vining, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Enterprise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Enterprise now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Taylorsville, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs Enterprise Yellowjackets challenge Loyd Star Hornets at 12:55 p.m. on Saturday. As for Taylorsville, they will face off against Stringer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
