After flying high against the Chewelah Cougars last Saturday, the Davenport Gorillas came back down to earth. Davenport suffered a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of the Crusaders on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Davenport of the 60-37 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Northwest Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonah Pope led the charge by scoring 16 points. It was the first time this season that Pope scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Asher West, who scored 15 points.
Davenport's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Northwest Christian School, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northwest Christian School also has no future games currently scheduled.
