The Manual Thunderbolts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-60 win over Stargate School. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manual to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquell Marquez, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Marquez is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Fox, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Manual's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Stargate School, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manual will take on Colorado Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stargate School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arrupe Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
