  Kaven Ford had another great game (as  he tends to do), rushing for 200 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry for Northwood Academy. Those  200  rushing yards gave  Ford a new career-high. Northwood Academy also got a significant boost from  Michael Polite, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Porter-Gaud has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record  this season. As for Northwood Academy, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Porter-Gaud and Cardinal Newman will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 24th. The Cyclones will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.63  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Northwood Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinewood Prep  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
