The Verona Hillbillies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 70-42 loss at the hands of Millburn. Verona has struggled against Millburn recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Millburn had a senior duo take command as Zach Benmorits scored 29 points along with five rebounds and Noah Ravitz dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Santi Carrera Fern?ndez, who scored nine points.
Verona's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Millburn, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Verona will head out on the road to face off against West Essex at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millburn will be home for the holidays to greet Montclair at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
