Falls City has gone 8-1-1 against Charlotte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Beavers will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Charlotte will be up against a hot Falls City team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Knippa on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Dale Shaffer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Falls City's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Tanner Krawietz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Falls City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knippa only posted an OBP of .348.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charlotte). Everything went their way against D'Hanis on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-5 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Trojans have posted against the Cowboys since April 28, 2015.
Julian Cruz was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Josh Gaitan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Falls City, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Everything went Falls City's way against Charlotte when the teams last played back in March, as Falls City made off with a 9-3 win. Do the Beavers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
