The Northwest Mohawks will head out on the road to square off against the Notre Dame Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Northwest stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Symmes Valley 65-24 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Northwest has posted since December 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 47-42 to Dawson-Bryant. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Notre Dame came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Dawson-Bryant is ranked 657th).
Northwest's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Northwest was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 55-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
