Fuquay - Varina took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They skirted past the Apex Cougars 68-65. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bengals also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.
Fuquay - Varina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abdou Diop out in front who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Beckett Coon was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short.
