The North Pontotoc Vikings are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Leake Central Gators on February 10th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Pontotoc had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Cavaliers onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Meanwhile, Leake Central entered their tilt with Itawamba Agricultural with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Leake Central beat Itawamba Agricultural by a goal, winning 4-3.
North Pontotoc has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7-1 record this season. As for Leake Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-1.
