For Meridian, this counts as revenge for the 66-60 defeat Nokomis walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Colton Denny went supernova for Meridian, scoring 15 points along with four steals. Denny is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Sebastian Hill was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meridian's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Nokomis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
Meridian will face off against Warrensburg-Latham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nokomis, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South County at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th.
