There's no place like home for the Hardaway Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They breezed by Northside at home to the tune of 69-31. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hardaway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zaire Hodge, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hodge pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Antonio Dortch, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Northside still got an impressive performance from Barrington Adams, who scored ten points. Adams scored a full 32.3% of Northside's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hardaway's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Hardaway will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Westover at 7:30 p.m. Westover has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Northside and Northgate will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northgate presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northside in Georgia (Northgate is ranked 151st, while Northside is ranked 454th).
