Cambridge moved up to 178 from 225 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 2 D - South. The Indians were able to make the jump by beating Canajoharie 41-21.
Rensselaer extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Catholic Central, 33-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Rams.
Cambridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ethan English has thrown for 660 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Sheadon Mosso has 15 catches for 311 yards. Matt Parmenter leads the league in rushing with 1100 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cambridge takes on Rensselaer. The Indians have allowed 61 points this season, while the Rams have given up 70. Cambridge allowed 21 points last week as it beat the Cougars.
Greenwich led Section 2 D - South in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons.
