After flying high against the Gateway Eagles last Friday, The Key West Conchs came back down to earth. Key West took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Archbishop McCarthy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (42), Key West still had to take the loss.
Walson Morin and Jaden Fox certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Morin rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while Fox rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Morin's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Adrian Mira was another major influence, as he rushed for 79 yards and ran in a TD.
It was another big night for Robert Kerns, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Damien Grant and his 133 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Archbishop McCarthy's win.
Key West's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Archbishop McCarthy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Key West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Archbishop McCarthy also has no future games currently scheduled.
