Tuscumbia has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will square off against the La Monte Vikings at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Tuscumbia's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Friday, Tuscumbia beat Missouri Military Academy 61-48.
Among those leading the charge was Benley Boggs, who scored 23 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Damon Whittle, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, La Monte unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sweet Springs. La Monte has not had much luck with Sweet Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-2.
Tuscumbia was able to grind out a solid victory over La Monte in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 59-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tuscumbia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
