The Union Mine Diamondbacks can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 83-39 victory over Galt at home. Winning may never get old, but Union Mine sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Union Mine had a senior duo take command as Nate Sweet scored 25 points and Ethan Gines scored seven points along with 14 assists and seven rebounds. Gines has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Allan Mata'u was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Union Mine pushed their record up to 21-2 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Galt, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Mine will take on Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 785th, while Union Mine is ranked 170th). As for Galt, they will be playing at home against Bradshaw Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bradshaw Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
