Baseball Recap: Alba-Golden Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

While Alba-Golden put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Yantis. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Owls. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Easton Samples and Brett Sutton did most of the damage at the plate: Samples scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Sutton went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Sutton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Boyd, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Alba-Golden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .591. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Alba-Golden has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Yantis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
