The Battle Mountain Huskies can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 60-26 victory over Vail Mountain. That looming 60-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Battle Mountain yet this season.
Blake Roberts was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Suman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Battle Mountain's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Vail Mountain, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battle Mountain will face off against Fruita Monument at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
