St. Joseph had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Jones Trojans 7-5. For the Flyers, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Mark Olguin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
