Danny Vazquez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Vazquez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joe Foscaldo, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
