It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bennington Badgers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past Norris 23-20. Bennington's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Quinton Archer, who rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns. Archer has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Jax Gates and Jarrett Behrends certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Gates picked up 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Behrends threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Bennington's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.93 points. As for Norris, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Bennington will stay at home for another week and welcome Elkhorn North at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Elkhorn North has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 101 points over their last three matchups. Norris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
