The Klahowya Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Sultan Turks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Klahowya at home against East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] as the team secured a 49-20 win.
Jackson Kealoha was his usual excellent self, throwing for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Kealoha hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Nathan West was in the mix as well, providing Klahowya with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Sultan had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Whidbey on Friday and snuck past 32-29.
Klahowya's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points per game. As for Sultan, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Klahowya came up short against Sultan in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 24-19. Can Klahowya avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
