The Paola Panthers had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They suffered a tough 62-41 defeat at the hands of Baldwin on Friday. Paola has struggled against Baldwin recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than COOPER CARR, who almost dropped a triple-double on 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. JOEY ZIEMBICKI was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Paola's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paola will take on Wellsville at TBD on Tuesday. As for Baldwin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Anderson County at 7:30 p.m. Anderson County and Baldwin are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
