The Serena Huskers will challenge the Dwight Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Serena will be strutting in after a victory while Dwight will be coming in after a loss.
Serena's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Earlville 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Huskers, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Serena got a massive performance out of RayElle Brennan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave Brennan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hjerpe, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Dwight was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Henry-Senachwine. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 17th.
Averi Jury made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Serena pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Dwight, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Serena hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Dwight struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Serena was able to grind out a solid win over Dwight when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. Will the Huskers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
