The Bonneville Lakers will head out on the road to challenge the Viewmont Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Bonneville is ranked 85th, while Viewmont is ranked 76th).
Last Friday, Bonneville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to Box Elder. Bonneville has not had much luck with Box Elder recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Viewmont pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 75-60 to Northridge. Viewmont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bonneville dropped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Viewmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Bonneville came up short against Viewmont in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Viewmont's Drez Jensen, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Now that Bonneville knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
