After a string of seven wins, Oak Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Falls Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Eagles of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Clear Falls, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge will challenge College Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. College Park's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Oak Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clear Falls, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-2 defeat against Kingwood on the 7th.
