Frenship (Wolfforth, Texas) snapped the 6-game winning streak of
Waco (Texas), with a 44-28 victory on Saturday.
The Tigers were up 21-14 at the half after taking the lead on a
Trevor Lloyd touchdown pass to
Bryndan Arredondo in the first quarter.
With the win Frenship extended its winning streak to nine games. FHS defeated the Scorpions 42-14 last week.
The Lions'
Traynham Moore played well. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 12 on the year.
The Wolfforth school's most effective player was Arredondo. The senior ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
The loss comes after Waco defeated Lake Dallas 24-21 last week.
